Furthermore, if you see the quota arrangement for this material below (see Figure 6.6), you will find that the total order quantity will be split 50% / 50% between the two vendors. You can also see that any given order must be in a minimum quantity of at least 100 units before an individual order will be split between the two suppliers (minimum quantity field). If the order quantity is less than 100 units, the normal quota arrangement rules will apply. You now have an MRP environment where orders are automatically split between two preferred vendors per your specifications, none of which is possible without maintaining the source list.
